Timezones and TYPO3: Managing Datetimes without Chaos

Timezones can be confusing—especially when saving dates for future events. In this talk, we’ll look at the problems that happen when datetime and timezones are not saved correctly, and why this matters. TYPO3 doesn’t yet have built-in support for timezone-aware fields in TCA, so we’ll also talk about possible solutions and what could be improved in the future.
